Description:
Program note (English): 'Lent, vague, indécis' is a visual inspired composition. The piece is a variation on the fourth prelude from the cycle opus 74 by Alexander Skrjabin. It derives it title from the performance notes by Skrjabin. The prelude has very pronounced rhythms and is one of Skrjabin's latest pieces in which the so-called 'Prometheus-chord' is missing*.
In 'Lent, vague, indécis' Skrjabin's harmonization is being harmonized. The changes in harmony are provided with simple or more complex resonance-chords. The original successive chords are delayed by one group of instruments and accelerated by another group. Some are repeated, others are left out. Therefore, we can describe the piece as a distorted memory to the prelude by Skrjabin.

- DIDERIK WAGENAAR * 'The Prometheus-chord' is named after Skrjabin's so called composition for piano and orchestra: Prométhée, le "Poème du Feu" op. 600 (1910).
