Description:
Program note (English): The title Diverso il Tempo was taken from the poem Impercettibile il Tempo from the book Dare e Avere of the Italian poet Salvatore Quasimodo. In this poem, two ways of experiencing the 'imperceptible time' are being compared. This inspired me to write Diverso il Tempo. The two parts (dances) of the composition have a completely different homogeneous musical structure, based on the 'dancing of time' on the mill-wheel (part 1) and on the orange-skin (part 2). - JACOB TER VELDHUIS
