Description:
The composition is inspired by a verse from the Italian poet Salvatore Quasimodo (1901-1968).
This is one of my first pieces composed by recording my improvisations on piano. The cello begins with a long solo, until the piano joins with a bourdon like the tanpura in a classical Indian raga.
