Zangbodem : for recorder quartet and piano, 1990 / Guus Janssen
Description:
Program note (English): In 'Zangbodem' the recorder quartet forms an extension of the soundboard at the piano. Apart from a few moments the quartet always plays in the "shadow" of the reverb of the piano, thus making it possible to influence the rigid well-tempered tuning of the piano. To put it concisely: the quartet steps as it were "in between" the piano keys. - GUUS JANSSEN
