Program note (English): This piece is a meditation on the color indigo. It explores the word, itself, as well as the feelings that this color brings to my mind. As it is the color most often associated with the spiritual and mystical, the players use only a few specific instrumental tones and rhythms, while they explore their relation to each other in a progression of interacting slow patterns. The actual 'meditation' is spoken by the players - the instruments serve to provide a parallel setting of questioning, discovery, and peace. - VANESSA LANN
