Description:
Program note (English): The Plutos Suite lends its name and a number of musical data to the music for my dramatic piece Plutos van Aristophanos (radio version 1951). There are five short movements, which in their set-up are so simple that an analysis is redundant: Ouverture, Marcia, Danza, Interlude, Danza, Berceuse, Finale. Written in a moment of relaxation, the author had a secret hope that not only he, but also the greater public would be offered some repose. - TON DE LEEUW
