Venus and Adonis suite : for 5 instruments, 1981 / Theo Loevendie
Description:
Program note (English): The Venus en Adonis Suite is based on stage music, written for a theatrical performance of Shakespeare's poem 'Venus and Adonis'. The instrumentation has been left unchanged. Some musical parts were added.
The performance in 1980 of the stage music written in this scoring gave rise to the founding of the now famous Nieuw Ensemble. - THEO LOEVENDIE
