Written between February and August 2023 as a part of an open call by Donemus Publishing and the Simeon ten Holt Foundation to celebrate the Dutch minimal music composer Simeon Ten Holt’s 100th birthday. In this call, composers were asked to imagine a new piece that is inspired by ten Holt’s magnum opus Canto Ostinato, but looks at it from a new, contemporary angle.
