Description:
The music is inspired by the theoretical physics concept of quantum tunneling, where subatomic particles can pass through barriers and walls by chance as their energies continuously fluctuate. The electronic tape component is generated using the Granular Cloud Generator. The piece opens with several dark, impressionistic trichords, which soon give way to various spiky and rapid gestures derived from the initial motifs. In the following section, the music contrasts with a sparse density that blends with the drowning, mysterious qualities of the tape part. As the piece progresses, these sparse pitches gradually develop into extremely high registral tones, accompanied by the sharp electronic sounds, symbolizing the process of tunneling. Finally, the music shifts to a more static yet unresolved state, leaving an air of mystery surrounding the entire process—one that is inherently unpredictable and uncertain.
