Confession : for violin and piano / Nimrod Borenstein
Description:
Confession Op. 55 was written in 2010 and premiered by Mifune Tsuji (violin) & Paul Jackson (piano) at the “Festival of ideas”, Cambridge University (UK) in 2013.
I have long been interested in creating short single movement pieces which by their intensity give the illusion of much longer works. Confession Op. 55, a short piece lasting approximately five minutes, is my third exploration in writing short meaningful pieces for violin and piano. It was preceded by Nocturnal Fantasia Op. 22 (2000) and Souvenirs Op. 49 (2008).
