Description:
The source material for this publication comes from the State Library in Munich, where is a copy of the book, printed first in Prague by Georg Nigrini in 1593. It was dedicated to Wolfgang Rumph. The full title of the original book is "Francisci Sale: Sacrarum Cantionum omnis generis instrumentis musicis et vivæ voci accomodatarum, hactenusque non editarum Liber Primus," meaning: First book of sacred songs, accommodated to any musical instrument and live voice, and not published until now, by Franciscus Sales. So fully or partly played instrumentally. A wonderful and enriching idea indeed.
