Remarks: Written for marimba solo and percussion ensemble, "Marimba Concerto No. 1: Road Business" is a milestone of the ongoing journey with Toolbox Percussion, a percussion initiative started in 2016. As a part of the ensemble’s US debut performance in San Francisco, it documents the route back and forth between San Francisco and Hong Kong. Premiered by Prof. Jack Van Geem and Toolbox Percussion in June 2019.
