Lustobject : voor kamerorkest, 1979, (revisie 1980) / Paul Termos
Description:
Program note (English): This piece formally exists from two technical givens: a scale and motif. Each given proceeds in several functions and adopts different forms. Both givens vary or connect with each other. Transpositions ensure an alternation in tonality, which, in a primitive way can be compared to the function of modulating in tone inherent in classical music. Inspiration sources are for example the Fellini films (music by Nino Rota), John Tchicai's unusual handling of modal music and teenager music of around 1960 (Jam cooke). - PAUL TERMOS
