Heroic Elegy : for violoncello and piano / Nimrod Borenstein
Description:
Heroic Elegy was written during 2014 and premiered at St Martin in the Fields (London, UK) on Friday 19th February 2016.
The piece is filled with moments of intense emotions: tragedy, sadness and melancholy but also anger, courage and energy. In between these moments of extreme feelings there are brief oasis of pure peace and beauty, contemplation and stillness. We are told a story narrated by the cello with the support of the descriptive power of the piano.
