Elongated Fingers : for clavichord / Roderik de Man
Description:
The title refers to the unique property of the clavichord. Through the key lever and the tangent the player is in contact with the strings for as long as the note lasts. This enables the so called Bebung (German), a vibrato effect by varying the pressure of the finger on the key. Another special effect is the Paukenschlag whereby the keys are pressed down tonelessly and tapped with the other hand.
