Description:
Dear reader,
In front of you is a new chamber music bundle for accordion and free ensemble. In the Nederlandse Organisatie Voor Accordeon Mondharmonica (NOVAM), we saw the need to initiate new music for young students between the ages of 12 and 16.
We have asked six renowned Dutch composers to write a trio (and one sextet) in a free setting for students with about three to five years of experience. The written, technical, and musical level of each composition is quite different, but all composers started with the same principle: “movement and stagnation.”
The soprano and/or bass parts can be played on a wide variety of instruments. If you need a transposed part, you can contact Donemus Publishing.
This bundle was made possible with financial help from the Prins Bernard Cultuur Fonds.
Premiere: 18 March 2018 – National Accordion Competition for soloist and chamber music, Amstelveen, The Netherlands.
We hope you and your students will enjoy this new music.
