Twenty-Five-Year Symphony : for 29 players and 16 singers / Alexander Manotskov
Description:
This piece is written for an orchestra that is divided into 13 small groups, with one or two voices added to each group. The groups surround the audience. All the parts are solos, so it is, actually, a large ensemble piece for 49 instruments and 16 voices. The piece is a musical interpretation of various events, from social to seismic to cosmic, that took place between 1991 and 2015.
