(Composer)
Description:
Program note (English): This piece is written at the request of the horn player Johan Donker Kaat. The title refers to the form of the piece, which a little bit refers to the classical concertos for solo instrument with orchestra. The tape, more or less a substitute for the orchestra, helds a dialogue with the horn. The electronic material comes from two sources: pure electronic sounds and manipulations from recordings of fragments played by the horn. The notation of the sounds on the tape is a graphical one, therefore a stopwatch is necessary.
The tape was made at the Institute for Sonology from the University in Utrecht. - TERA DE MAREZ OYENS
