Program note (English): [Première revised version: March 19, 2006 - Dvorak Hall, Prague - Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, Ronald Zollman cond.] - Platonic ID concerns itself with the World Soul of Plato. Its identity can be understood as a harmonic series with partial numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 9 and 27. The harmonic world of Platonic ID consists of a sounding of this (filtered) overtone series and its corresponding undertone series, based on several different fundamentals. Further materials derive from harmonic relations between sounding harmonics and their respective fingerings on strings of different lengths. - ROZALIE HIRS
