Description:
Program note (English): Dovemansoren [Deaf Ears] is the title of a play I wrote for theatre company De Appel [The Apple] in 2002. Family and friends meet around Otto Goud's coffin, committing autopsy on the memory of this former conductor, who once, at the top of his career, turned his back on music, and was never heard from again. I wrote two intermezzi where Otto Goud's ghost sings fragments from letters by Ludwig van Beethoven, a choir of three female voices in turn providing comments on these letters. - ELMER SCHÖNBERGER
