Description:
Program note (English): This is a piece about dissolution of structure. Just as a wax object will gradually lose its defining characteristics under the steady application of heat until only the essence remains so, in this work, the opening elaborate lines is transmuted into the raw material of which it is constructed. One is reminded perhaps of the eternal dichotomy between form and content, the philosophy of Plato or the uncovering by a skilled sculptor of the form implicit in a piece of stone. - Richard Sims
