Description:
Program note (English): (Première: 15-12-1996 - Posthoornkerk, Amsterdam - Insomnio Ensemble) -Insomnio is an excursion of 11 instruments through the night in which sleep does not arrive. The feelings of despair and irritation, which arise during such sleepless hours, are reflected musically in the score by a number of block systems of different characters. Here there is some evidence of clear melodic lines is and a pulsating movement, while at other moments the music splits up to a musical consonance of clouds in which every instrument goes its own way. The instrumentation of Insomnio ensures for a very divers musical colour palette. - GERARD BELJON
