Description:
Program note (English): Frans van Dooren, the great expert and translator of Italian poetry, brought my attention to the collection Alcyone, which he considers D'Annunzio's masterpiece. The collection begins quite optimistically in Spring and ends melancholically in Autumn. It goes a bit against my nature, because I'm not a great fan of Summer, but I greatly love Fall and Winter. But I tried to identify with the collection and chose seven poems spanning the course from Spring - or better said, from early Summer, May - to the melancholy of Fall. - TRISTAN KEURIS
