Eros and Psyche : = Eros kai Psuke, for wind octet and double bass, 1992 / Calliope Tsoupaki
Description:
Program note (English): The most abstract appearance of Eros in the Greek mythology is in his relation to the human sort (psyche). When he is away from her she is in toture and despair. When he is with her he brings her to life again. This everlasting duality in the Eros-Psyche complex is the only element in the piece which I consider to be an extended love song. - CALLIOPE TSOUPAKI
