Program note (English): This opera in three acts tells the story of the arrival and stay of Odysseus (Ulisse) on the magical island of the enchantress Circe. She puts a spell on him and his men, until Odysseus is reminded, by the ghost of Achilles, of his destination and duties. With his men he escapes from the island.
