Remarks: First commissioned by Marion Causse, this work is based on my woodwind quintet ’Lo que vi en el agua’ and was first performed by her on June 9, 2014, at Nutshuis, The Hague, Netherlands. This edition presents the version for soprano flute and male voice, written for Maarten Reumkens, who premiered it on May 26, 2015, at Intro in Situ, Maastricht, Netherlands. Additional versions exist for alto flute (written for and premiered by Robin Meiksins) and for soprano flute and female voice. The original version is dedicated to Marion Causse, and the male voice version to Maarten Reumkens.
