Description:
This piece is built on fragments of a work originally written for the Duke quartet, but sadly never realised. In late 2019, I found the fragments of the much earlier piece and recast them into a tighter form. The piece felt reborn. It was performed in January 2020, just before the world went into lockdown due to covid-19. It is dedicated to James Widden and Alison Holford, brilliant string players and friends, who have supported so much of my music.
