Description:
The Sächsische Landesbibliothek - Staats- u. Universitätsbibliothek Dresden (Saxon State and University Library - SLUB) contains a collection of choral music from the Renaissance, and one of these is a series of Lamentations of Jeremiah, for 4 and 5 voices by various composers.
This book contains Lamentations, the collection of which has been dedicated to Abbot Wolfgang Grünenstein of Kempten in 1549. It was printed by Johann vom Berg & Ulrich Neuber, Nuremberg, famous publishers north of the Alps in those days. Transcriptions of several books from this house have been published by Donemus.
