Huegraphies : for flute / Federico Favali
Description:
The hue is one of the main properties of the colour. Basically it is the degree to which a stimulus can be perceived similar or different from stimuli that are described as red, green, blue, and yellow, which usually are represented in a row.
This image immediately reminded me to engravings by M. C. Escher (1898–1972). In fact, in some of them, the initial figure changes continuously to become other figures. For example in Metamorphosis I (1937) there are several images and figures intertwined in row. I took these concepts as starting point to write my piece. In this case several colours, each of them with its own characteristics, are intertwined.
