Description:
Collection of 9 Introitus for masses in Advent and Lent time (Quadragesima). The original source is a choirbook in the Bavarian State Library from the second half of the 16th century; no title or year of appearance is given. It is a manuscript very unlike the beautifully calligraphed other choirbooks in this library, many of which have been transcribed and published by Donemus Publishing. It is rather clumsy, and sometimes with remarkable flaws in the notation of ligatures. Nevertheless it is an interesting collection of sacred works, in its present form ready to be used in liturgical services.
