Remarks: Commissioned by Intercontinental Ensemble in 2019, the piece ‘Collage van een Achtvlak’, originally written for string orchestra in 2016, was especially rewritten for this nonet. In their setting, they are able to present orchestral repertoire with the transparency of chamber music. This has been a true inspiration, to give new life to this piece.
