Premiere: The piece was originally titled “Groeibriljant” and was performed in fragments as work progressed during the string quartet season concerts at the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, from October 2012 to May 2013. Each string quartet performed previously composed sections, plus the new that were composed specially for their concert. The last quartet, the Matanghi String Quartet premiered the completed work. The piece was retitled ‘Eothinon’ and is part of a trilogy of works titled ‘Triptychon’.
