ΤΡΑΓΟΥΔΙ - Tragoudi : for solo clarinet, solo trumpet and orchestra / Calliope Tsoupaki
Description:
A scala of hidden but perceivable “titles” are thought and referred to in this composition: "Hidden Song”, "Forbidden Song”, “Lost Song”, “Last Song”, “In Memory of…”, “Sempre Viva”, “Forever Young”, "Song for my father”, “Secret Song”….. These and much more were the words that crossed my mind but everything felt misplaced. I only want to bring the quintessence of my love for song and melody very close to us, without any names, explanations and interpretations.
After all I have chosen the simple word: TRAGOUDI which means “Song” in Greek.
