Description:
Jean Mouton was a French Renaissance composer. He was famous for his refined motets and masses, and also for being the teacher of Adrian Willaert, one of the founders of the Venetian School. This bundle contains the 3-voices chanson ‘Dictes moy toutes voz pensées’ by Loyset Compère as a basis for the parody-mass for 4 voices with the same name by Jean Mouton. This borrowing of music theme was very common in those days. It was a hommage to the original composer and not a subject for law suits like in modern times.
