Description:
Elliott loves bebop was composed for and dedicated to the SON Ensemble (Stockholm) and the Either/Or Ensemble (New York), with financial support from the Swedish Arts Council (Kulturrådet) and the Performing Arts Fund NL (Fonds Podiumkunsten, Netherlands).
Elliott loves bebop consists of two compositions, Sönerna for saxophone, trombone, guitar and percussion, and No slash for violin, violoncello, piano and percussion. Both pieces can be performed separately, but can also be performed simultaneously.
The recommended concert order when the two pieces are combined: first a performance of Sönerna, followed by No slash. After the intermission the two pieces then will be performed simultaneously: Elliott loves bebop.
