composition
No Slash : for violin, violoncello, piano and percussion / Klas Torstensson
Description:
No slash was composed for and dedicated to the Either/Or Ensemble (New York), with financial support from the Swedish Arts Council (Kulturrådet) and the Performing Arts Fund NL (Fonds Podiumkunsten, Netherlands).
No slash can be performed either separately, or in combination with the composition Sönerna for the SON Ensemble (Stockholm).
When both pieces are performed, the recommended concert order should be first a performance of the separate quartets (Sönerna, followed by No slash) and - after the intermission - a performance of the two quartets simultaneously: Elliott loves bebop.
