Sönerna : for saxophone, trombone, guitar and percussion / Klas Torstensson
Description:
Sönerna was composed for and dedicated to the SON Ensemble (Stockholm), with financial support from the Swedish Arts Council (Kulturrådet) and the Performing Arts Fund NL (Fonds Podiumkunsten, Netherlands).
Sönerna can be performed either separately, or in combination with the composition No slash for the Either/Or Ensemble (New York).
When both pieces are performed, the recommended concert order should be first a performance of the separate quartets (Sönerna, followed by No slash) and - after the intermission - a performance of the two quartets simultaneously: Elliott loves bebop.
