Description:
Program note (English): The starting-point of this energetic piece of music is a sequence of short rhythmic and melodic motives played forte on the piano, with an inesparable 'shadow' by the saxophone. Somewhat later the dynamic relation is reversed: the saxophone leads, the piano follows like a shadow. Gradually the rhythms get more complicated and the music more and more capricious. After a climax a tranquilo melody on the saxophone follows. A reminiscence of the initial motives leads to an ecstatic finale. - JOCHEM SLOTHOUWER AND ANNETTE DE KLERK
