Remarks: Secret Notes for solo violin and ensemble or chamber orchestra was commissioned by The Los Angeles Philharmonic New Music Group, Esa-Pekka Salonen, Music Director. Composed between 18th September 2000 and 20th June 2001. First performance on 15th April 2002. Secret Notes was re-orchestrated by the composer for solo violin and orchestra in September 2002. This version was first performed on 5th August 2005 at the Cabrillo Festival Marin Alsop, Music Director. The solo violin part is identical in both versions.
