Kristoffer Zegers (Breda, 1973) studied composition with Gilius van Bergeijk, Jan Boerman, Martijn Padding, Clarence Barlow and Diderik Wagenaar at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag. In Zegers' music microtonal clusters are the main object. His music is about slow developments in clusters via glissandi. His motto is "Glissandéz mes enfants, Glissandéz toujours!" after César Franck's "Moduléz mes enfants, Moduléz toujours!". Zegers' music has been played in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Canada, Italy and several radio stations in the world.

Zijn compositie 'Singularity IV' wordt in de Grote Zaal van het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam uitgevoerd.

Kristoffer Zegers componeert 'Venlafaxine' voor 4 saxofoons, over het gevoel dat je krijgt wanneer je een antidepressivum hebt genomen, een soort 'collaps' van de hersenen.

Zijn saxofoonoctet 'Electroshocks' (2003) is niet alleen in Nederland uitgevoerd maar ook in België, Duitsland en Canada.

In november wordt Zegers' compositie 'Pianophasing II' uitgevoerd door 50 pianisten op 25 piano's in Den Bosch tijdens het Novembermusic festival.

Pianophasing II wordt uitgevoerd tijdens het Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival in Engeland.

'Pianophasing II' is genomineerd in maart voor de Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards.
