Liselotte Westerterp is a Dutch composer who lived in New York and Philadelphia for 28 years, where she played in saxophone quartet Winds of Jazz. She received a Bachelors in Composition from Temple University in Philadelphia and also won the IAWM competition for her song Fishing Village in 2012. She moved back to Holland in 2012, where she studied with Wim Henderickx at the Conservatory of Antwerp, and in 2018 received her Masters in composition from the Utrecht Conservatory. She currently specialises in writing for choirs and small chamber ensembles.Her works have been performed at the Fringe Festival, the Lincoln Center outdoors concerts series, and the DiMenna Center for Classical Music in New York, the Sing Split Festival in Croatia, and at the Utrecht University’s Million Pictures Conference. Her choir works were sung by Camerata Vocale Split, Maastricht’s Kamerkoor, and recently by the women’s choir of the Groot Omroep Koor.
