The Dutch composer Rene Ruijters was born in 1955 an studied classical organ and piano at the Arnheim Conservatory of Music. He also plays the clarinet in a concert band.
As a composer Rene Ruijters is self-taught. At first he focused primarily on original and incentive compositions for diverse solo instrument(s) and piano. These works are a valuable addition to the repertoire for recitals, music examinations and competitions. A couple of years ago he shifted his interest to the concert band and this has turned out to be a new source of inspiration.
