Immanuel Klein werd op 11 januari 1960 in Rotterdam geboren.
Opleiding
Van 1979 tot 1987 studeerde hij cello bij Ubaldo Arcari, Marien van Staalen en Godfried Hoogeveen en compositie bij Theo Loevendie en Klaas de Vries aan de conservatoria van Rotterdam en Den Haag.

Sinds Iris, fragmenten voor cello en orkest (1989) componeerde Klein onder meer Sounds and meditations voor cello en piano (1995), Music for percussion, piano and harp (1998), Dutch Airlines voor harmonium (1999) en Clouds voor 4 hoorns en strijkorkest (2002).
