Frank Crijns plays guitar and writes music for Titanic Combo and Spelonk, and cofounded the group BLAST. He plays with the big bands 'Nieuwe Muziek' and 'Positive Nuns'. He organises and plays in projects with Fred Frith, Elliot Sharp, Tim Hodgkinson, Rhys Chatham, Phil Niblock, Pavel Fajt, Jacques Palinckx and others.
Frank Crijns' work as a composer can be divided in two parts: 1. composing for soloists and modern music ensembles and 2. playing and composing contemporary and improvised music.

Frank Crijns (12 juni 1960, Sint Pieters-Woluwe, België) studeert compositie aan het Rotterdams Conservatorium bij Peter-Jan Wagemans en Klaas de Vries.
1992
In 1992 schreef hij samen met vijf componisten van de Tilburgse groep De vonk de compositie 'Ergens ervoor...' voor het Aquarius Ensemble.
