Born in Rome. She lives in Amsterdam.
She graduated in piano and composition in Italy (Conservatorio O.Respighi) in Sweden (Malmö Musikhögskolan) and in The Netherlands (The Hague Royal Conservatoire) where she obtained a MA.
Particularly important for her artistic development the possibility to meet and study with composers such as Brian Ferneyhough, Luca Francesconi, Beat Furrer, Bernhard Lang, Yannis Kyriakides and Francesco Filidei.
Her music is characterized by a specific attention in organizing dramaturgically the sounds and the form, often in relation to extra-musical concepts. From 2009 she works on a cycle around the concept of amnesia and the processes of transformation and re-codification of memories.
She received commissions and performances by renowned musicians and ensembles such as ASKO/Schönberg ensemble, Nieuw ensemble, Umze ensemble, Ensemble Linea, Les Cris de Paris, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra, Klang ensemble, CO2, Maria Grazia Bellocchio, Dario Calderone, Emanuele Torquati, Bas Wiegers, Jean-Philippe Wurtz, Jurjen Hempel and others, in festivals and venues such as Nuova Consonanza (Rome), Area sismica (Forlì), music@villaromana (Florence), L’Arsenale - Nuova musica a Treviso (Treviso), Festival Rondò (Milano), Voix Nouvelles, Festival de Royaumont (Royaumont, Asniéres-sur-Oise), Festival Musica (Strasbourg), Danse élargie (Théatre de la Ville, Paris), Nederlandse Muziek Dagen, Holland Festival (Muziekgebouw aan’t IJ, Amsterdam), Spring Festival, Korzo Theater (The Hague), Morgondagens Tönsattare (Helsingborg), Bartòk festival (Szombathely), Unerhörte Musik (Berlin), Basel Imprimerie (Basel), Italian academy - Columbia University, Gaudeamus Muziekweek New York (New York City).
Her music has been commissioned and supported by institutions such as the French Ministry of Culture and the Fonds Podiumkunsten Nederland, it has been broadcasted by Radio France (Fr) and Radio 4 (Nl) and it is published by Muziek Centrum Nederland (Donemus).
